For those of you who don’t get it, this is a mystery block from the Mario/Super Mario/Mario Brothers video game. In the game they contain prizes like coins or different items that give Mario special powers.

“Designed in Japan made in Italy” is probably a reference to the facts that the game was designed by Nintendo in Japan and the heroes Mario and his brother Luigi are Italian

Go on BC! Jump and bump your head against it!! You might get some coins or shrooms!

And wha are those weird sounds in the background?

Reminds me of an old SNL sketch with Steve Martin and Bill Murray, where two hicks see something they can’t identify and keep repeating ‘what the h*ll is that ?’

I asked my son about this, so he turned on my Super Nintendo console and played one of the many Mario Bros. games that are pre-loaded on it. One of these days I might actually play the game myself. I’m better with Atari games.
