at the end of WW2 the allies would drop supplies to POW camps in Japan. the men would often get sick on the rich food having been malnourished and at at least on camp-a man who’d survived years of imprisonment was killed when a pallet of supplies fell on him.

Boiled spam, baked spam, fried spam … they’re sick to death of spam

Spam is a genius food. made of the cheapest trimmings and excess fat, it has lots of protein and lots of fat. most of the world have a diet deficient in both, as well as no refrigeration and little money. To them Spam is a godsend.

Bear in mind, dear fellow readers, that one man’s* Spam is another man’s* delicacy.

*Or, more likely, woman’s.
