My nephew used to be that way. I was happy to take my family out for a nice dinner, but it always irritated me that my brother’s son would order the most expensive thing on the menu and then not eat it. My kids and my sister’s kids would order what they knew they would enjoy eating…but the one nephew would pretty much only look at the price and pick the most expensive thing. I tried not to let it ruin my evening because I think it was mostly his parent’s mentality…but it still soured my mood on more than one occasion.
