Amblyomma tholloni or “elephant tick” is a three-host hard tick whose adults stages feed predominantly on the African elephant (Loxodonta africana), however they were also reported feeding on hippopotamus, rhinoceros and opportunistically on the giant forest hog and warthog.
Famous elephant named Ear. Rather obscure, not famous. That name: Ear Elephant. Say it fast. lol, lmao, yuck yuck, etc… (start every Monday with a dad joke).

How would an elephant smell without a trunk?

I may be missing something here, but as drawn, it looks to me like that elephant is lifting over 1100 pounds, not 550.

So the elephant nose fish shocks the elephant shrew so it can’t run, and the bull elephant drops a 500 pound weight on them both.

Sharks and skates (sting ray for example) can detect the minute electrical currents made by prey (hiding under the sand for example).
An analogy that works for me is that sharks and skates use passive sonar, while the elephantnose fish uses active sonar.
