They are all ready for a tabletop role playing game (awesome!), but I’m not sure they are all planning to play the same one. Though Matt Mercer’s crew has managed to incorporate a robot and fire-arms, so maybe.
I always thought I would’ve liked to get into D&D but for a few things: 1) Too much complication and too many numbers, too much left to rolling dice 2) Too much overly-sexy drawings 3) Too much talk of kids getting into “real” magic and other weirdness, weird and/or irreverent religious ideas, and clouding of morality with a system where you could play as evil as you wanted, and “chaotic good” or even “lawful good” might be as much (or more of) a handicap for a team as “lawful evil.” But probably the main thing was that I never knew anyone else who was interested, and the one time I was invited to join a guy or two, they futtered around with other stuff and never got started, and after that I never saw the guy again — he (and his mother he lived with) just moved without telling anyone. There’s been a couple stores not too far away that host games, but I’ve never had the heart to check them out.

That brings back memories when I was in my teens about 50 years ago. I think I still have the D & D books in the house somewhere?

I didn’t play D&D until in my 30s. I wish I’d discovered it earlier.

Back in the early 80’s I spent many an hour playing AD&D with my Army buddies in Germany. It was a good way to let off steam and just hang out.

Interesting that his coworker from the auto shop is there. At least he gets along with one of them!

A pizza that big couldn’t have fit in the backpack. The poor rider must have carried it by hand. I hope Baldo gave him a good tip.
