Somebody always brought a croquet set to family picnics but nobody new the rules for how to set it up or play.

Replace the hard ball with a rubber one until he’s older.

Hammie would spend playing the whole game chasing Zoe’s ball so he can ‘send it’. Hopefully Darryl does have a sledge hammer that Hammie would use in lieu of the mallet to get more distance on Zoes ball.

And Zoe will want to have a tea party on the lawn.

Whack sister’s head with a mallet, then while she’s unconscious, us the wickets to secure her arms and legs to the ground. Then using a mallet and peg, drive it like a stake into her heart and the vampire will be purged

Or “Polo” when Zoe will force Hammie to be a horse.

⠄⠄⠄but it made it into the olympics one year

it’s actually good fun for when you have participants with widely varying ages because speed and strength aren’t really factors for the most part – so it kinda ‘levels the field’

And as with most things at yard sales … they probably have a little boy, too, and that’s why it was they wanted to get rid of it.

How about its time he learns how to behave. The longer you wait the worse he will get.

I remember playing crocquet and lawn jarts as a kid and having so much fun. When we would get together with my Dad’s family we always played croquet when it was nice outside because it was Gram’s favorite game and she always beat all us grands. Me and my sister played lawn jarts all the time and never got hurt from them. I miss those days of youth and vigor and funs times with the family.
