Elly was certainly working hard when she turned that sign about Ben’s Burgers into this punchline. However, since her eyes disappeared from laughing so hard at her own joke, she might want to stop on the side of the road until her eyes reappear for everyone’s safety.

“Let it B, mom.”

That comment, Elly was JUST A LITTLE above April’s level of understanding although it was funny to you ! ! ! !

What pre-K kid ever has a thought that their parents work too hard? That thinking is a bit above the level of a four-year-old, who are usually entirely self-centered and completely grounded in the present, with their biggest concern being whether they’re going to go to the park before or after lunch.

All the time, I think her mom is NUTS!

I think I would have went with, “Look mom there’s a “B” in the car.”

Elly enjoys laughing at her own wordplay.

And April continues – “An the teacher asked all of us if we had had a ’b’owel movement today. I couldn’t answer. I have to wait until ‘P’ day and say I did both.”

That WAS a clever comeback for Elly.

Ellis banter regarding the Bard’s particular linguistic bent for benefit of his audience is beyond the budding capabilities of her littlest bambino.

I’m reminded of a song on Sesame Street by The Beetles. It started a little something like this:

….She would NEVER say “In fact.”

Probably more like “Dat sign gots a B on it! No – it gots TWO, Mom! It gots TWO! Two B’s, Mom! Two B’s! Look, Mom! Look!”
