Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Elly was certainly working hard when she turned that sign about Benâs Burgers into this punchline. However, since her eyes disappeared from laughing so hard at her own joke, she might want to stop on the side of the road until her eyes reappear for everyoneâs safety.
What pre-K kid ever has a thought that their parents work too hard? That thinking is a bit above the level of a four-year-old, who are usually entirely self-centered and completely grounded in the present, with their biggest concern being whether theyâre going to go to the park before or after lunch.
And April continues â âAn the teacher asked all of us if we had had a âbâowel movement today. I couldnât answer. I have to wait until âPâ day and say I did both.â
You got that right April, lots of adults seem weird because they are! Just wait till theyâre grandmas on Facebook, then theyâll know everything, you know, like whether people are eating dogs & cats in Ohio and stuff like that! ;-)
HA HA!! â No, Iâm not laughing at Ellieâs punchline, Iâm laughing at the idea that the mental midget, little April, would use the phrase âIn factâ â !!
âAs a matter of fact, Mother, now that I think about itâŠDAT SIGN GOTS TWO Bâs!â
âŠ.She would NEVER say âIn fact.â
Probably more like âDat sign gots a B on it! No â it gots TWO, Mom! It gots TWO! Two Bâs, Mom! Two Bâs! Look, Mom! Look!â

Ellis banter regarding the Bardâs particular linguistic bent for benefit of his audience is beyond the budding capabilities of her littlest bambino.

Iâm reminded of a song on Sesame Street by The Beetles. It started a little something like this:
When I find I canât rememberWhat comes after A and before CMy mother always whispersââLetter B.â . . .
