Isn’t Jason confusing “Elven Cloak” with Harry Potter’s “Invisibility Cloak”?

Think of the scene early on in The Two Towers when the Riders of Rohan are thundering across the grassland returning from the slaughter of the Orcs, and suddenly Aragorn stands up and speaks to them. The horsemen are stunned that they did not see three travellers there until they were nearly on top of them!

That was because of the elven cloaks Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli were wearing. Not invisibility cloaks, but the next best thing!
