For a while, this Plugger kept having a horrible hair hump or outright cowlick sticking up. Not sure what got into it, but it just wouldn’t lie flat, for weeks or a couple months. Just glad it’s settled down to a small wave.
While my husband’s hair is thinner these decades, he still keeps it longish and in a “queue” -aka 18th century men’s pony tail as we do period reenacting. He always hated going to get his hair cut. Now when it gets too long to be comfortable he puts in a rubber band and I cut it for him with one snip (two if I did not cut enough off).

As someone who started losing his hair after getting it peeled in Basic Training, I can understand that feeling completely. My comb is a razor.
