Another one of those “He said, She said” things, I suppose.
Try Try Try again.
“You want to join us? You’ve got to really hate the Romans.” – “Oh, I do!” – “Oh yeah? How much?” – “A lot!” – - – “Okay, you’re in.”

How do you “try” to love someone if you don’t?
I can feel the sarcasm.
Sounds like he’s doing much better with his novel than I am.
Try again.
“Meh”, she said.
“I’ll always think of you as a friend”
Well, he wasn’t lying, was he?
It’s not me, it’s you.
“Love is like oxygen.”
“Your eyes are like the stars, your nose is like an olive”
My experience with writing dialogue: let them babble so they get used to it. Then DELETE all or nearly all of it. They learn to do better.
“I can’t tell you how much I love you because that’s not how love works. I will show you by my actions until you understand so well that nothing more than a very simple ‘I love you’ will be needed to remind you.”
Try “I’m terribly fond of you!”(Hey it works for Rubber Duckies.)
A little tongue in cheek for Snoopy, funny though !
Sorry, not good enough. Good opening statement but totally lame follow-through.
How do I love thee?
Sonnet 43
Elizabeth Barrett Browning
Nice try, though.
Or, like when the T. Rex who held his arms apart and said “I love you this much!”“That’s not very much.”
