Eight legged freaks……………………….(Personally, I like spiders)

Cruz is having a panic attack, and Gracie is just panicking.

Check Renfeld’s lunch box. He went from eating flies to spiders.

Well, maybe if you’d kept him in something sturdier than a shoe box…

Time to move out.

We had recently moved into our new home, when I saw what I believed to be a fake tarantula on the floor. I congratulated my husband on the good gag, but then it moved. I suspected the former owner’s son lost his pet which precipitated the move.

Scary looking yes, but harmless cause they can’t bite us. Which is one of the reasons they are used in movies. Some people have them as pets.

It’s tarantula migration time!

So much for the Schrödinger’s tarantula conundrum.

I think this is how one of my favorite 1950s sci-fi giant tarantula movies began.

Oopsie…

Tarantulas are harmless and gentle. They avoid confrontation when possible. If one does bite in self-defense, the bite is about equivalent to a bee sting. The best way to treat a tarantula in your home is to carry it in a container (a wastebasket is good) to a vacant lot and turn it loose.

I thought the spider was on Baldo’s back, the way Cruz is looking at his back.

Tarantulas in general aren’t a big deal. They are indeed poisenous, but then to one degree or another so are all spiders I believe. I’ve watched Tarantulas on the hunt in the Texas Hill Country and they are actually rather pretty, and harmless to pretty much anything but their natural prey.

I think tia Carmen will be out of the strip for a loooooong time.

Tia Carmen may never come home.

I was stationed in Japan in the early 60’s…

I had a “house on the beach” as did many a Sailor.

I heard rumors about “giant spiders” but Never saw one….

I drank as much as any Sailor Could, But never had the “DT’S”…

Never went on a “Snipe Hunt” either….

Remember the saying: "If it bites you and you get sick, it’s venomous.

“If you bite it and you get sick, it’s poisonous.”

I think you mean species, not breed.
