I read a book with this problem. It involved time travelers who had to schedule their vacations very carefully. One of them wanted to book a stay on Tahiti for a certain date next year. After the travel agent checked the listings she told him he couldn’t go then because he had already scheduled that date when he was in 2137.

Travel to the time of the Bubonic Plague (about 1350 CE). That should eliminate at least a few of him.

A world with billions of Percival Dunwoodys? Sounds like a “Twilight Zone” reboot episode.

Try going back to the first episode of The Gong Show. That should undo the loop.

That’s the real reason the dinosaurs died out. They ate large numbers of Dunwoodys, and succumbed to the concentrated idiocy.
