We acquired a couple of farm kittens who smelled as if they’d been rolling in manure their entire lives (granted, only a few weeks at that point, but still). They got warm-water shampoo baths, avoiding their eyes. They didn’t like it but they were as weak as kittens and couldn’t do anything about it, no matter how hard they tried to scramble up the wet sides of the sink. That was the last time we needed to do it. They smell fresh and clean every day without our having to lift a finger.
Contrarily, I’ve heard (but never personally experienced) that dogs just love rolling around in the smelliest offal they can find. Something about their sense of smell being extremely acute.
My Siamese only weighed 12 pounds but it took three people to restrain him, wrapped in a towel, to trim his claws. I swear he knew some kind of aikido trick that enabled him to get traction on air molecules.

Should have used a cage instead.

Since Fleshy is restrained, could he be hosed down from a distance?

A damaged retina is nothing to joke about. I’ve had a torn retina 4 different times. Not fun or funny.

Put ’im in the washer. Set to Feline warm water.

To bathe the cat — Put shampoo in the toilet bowl, drop Fleshy in, hold the lid closed a few minutes and then run from the bathroom quickly. ;-D

Don’t cats bathe THEMSELVES?
