Great comic, but “phase” should be “faze”; yet another homophone problem.

“Tear” might might have the alternate meaning, to cause the crowd to demonstrate their repentance and sorrow and anguish over their sinful disruption by causing them to publicly tear their clothes, or “rend” them in the Biblical sense. Well, maybe.
