He snagged a Portuguese fishing boat?

They found Obie in Portugal 10 years later, he was already an accomplished guitarist in a Fado band.

Something’s fishy about this.

Honestly? If some fish dragged me to Portugal, I would give him a tip and a thank you and look for the next fado bar.^^

I’ve caught fish big enough to jerk my kayak around a little, but only a few times..

I was fishing at an inlet and I caught something big. Reeled in and the line came out of the water. I had caught the guy’s lure from across the way on the pier. We both had a laugh on that. I let him reel it in all the way and untangle. Another time I caught a barge and almost lost my rod and reel. Managed to break the line. Never caught a fish worth keeping at that inlet, LOL!!

After Obie Lopez, soon everybody wanted to do “The Obie”, no matter the destination!

So he was 20,000 leagues ATOP the sea? I see…

Isn’t that what they call “a Nantucket sled ride”?
