I normally do not criticize the artists and writers of comic strips I have read for decades. I’m about to quit reading this strip after sixty years. The current Gil Thorp strip has not even a passive resemblance to the classic strips. The sports scenarios are half-baked and likely wouldn’t ever happen in real life. The non-sports story arcs are laughable and unreadable.

The modern art style (also in the the Flash Gordon and Mark Trail strips) is not easy on the eyes. The only other comic strip I stopped reading was Mary Worth. Good luck, Henry and Rod.

Henry is getting far too carried away with his unrealistic politically correct nonsense.

P4- Cami: Dottie is the all American cheerleader with a cannon for an arm. You’re stressed, depressed and easy to manipulate. Here’s a fresh loofah.

I’ve been reading this comic since the late 50’s. However, since Barajas has taken over, the strip has become absolutely insipid. The art has now followed in step. I don’t know who pays these two, but they should fire them. My point being, I’ve had it – done – Goodbye folks. Happy drivel.

With this new “art,” everyone looks like they’re anorexic. But at least they told us it was a gender “netral” locker room to add to the compelling story telling.

If they want a controversial story arc, how about a girl getting injured because they let a boy play on the girls team?

I’m sure the writer submitted the proper spelling of “gener-netural”, but somebody changed it to make him look like he doesn’t know what he’s doing.
