Tomorrow is Sunday—the day we’ll see a first-run strip. Will it be another one (rightfully) knocking the Orange Baboon? We shall see. BTW, it would be interesting to see staunch right-winger BD’s reaction to this travesty of an election!
This is self inflicted pain. We had plenty of chances to stop this but were afraid to use them. We still have the opportunity to throw Trump in jail over state charges, but I’m betting we will back away from those as well. If you want to preserve our democracy you must be willing to defend it. We were not.
I went to a military academy where you could not flunk out, especially if you were a jock, unless you wanted that as the official reason for your departure.
Gocomics needs to start a new ’toon dedicated to the disaster that is going to be the next four years. The author could start with a series of ’toons for each cabinet appointment. Start with the trainwreck that is RFK Jr.
Google: Putting RFK Jr. in charge of health breaks the first rule of medicine New York Post
Note that just about all classic Republicans (entire Bush cabinet and even Trump cabinet, previous military leaders and Secretaries of State, Romney, Cheney, McCain of fabled political dynasties) all oppose Trump. I suppose that BD is no different: a rueful anti-Trump Republican trying to figure out what went wrong with his party.

“Great—more $$$ for Walden. Now, pour me another martini—most of Walden’s tuition fees pay my liquor bills.”

Doonesbury, even these rerun strips, is still great. I wish he’d go back to writing “daily” Doonesbury strips.

Doorways in the Sand by Roger Zelazny starts with a student like that; all paid until graduation, so he keeps changing major.

I have a question unrelated to today’s strip. Which cabinet portfolio do you think Duke will be assigned by Trump?
