That is totally me!

Honest Peppermint Patty.

Yesterday evening, I watched a re-run episode of the Canadian animated series Total Dramarama – which is a prequel to Total Drama Island showing younger versions of characters who were teenagers in the earlier show. Total Drama Island has since been rebooted with new teenage characters.

The episode was called “The Gold and the Stickerful” and had Courtney – the class Control Freak – becoming addicted to gold star stickers. She started working harder and harder to get another one – at one point she painted a reproduction of Michaelangelo’s painting on the Cistine Chapel with herself receiving a gold star in her version. As her addiction became even stronger, she became wilder and started tearing up stuffed toys to repair them and get a gold sticker for it.

Peppermint Patty ain’t the brightest star around, but she’s no liar.

You’re still not getting one.

But you were the last one holding the gold stars!

Pretty red-brown like my wife’s and as she often says, “it just needs a little combing out.”

It’s terrible when you’re an honest person with a dishonest face.

Who else is hoping Peppermint Patty gets a Gold Star before the end of the arc? Show of hands…

Or do what my friend in 4th grade did, used his allowance to buy a 35 cent box of gold stars from the stationery store and gold star his own homework! He never got caught LOL!
