Years back when we adopted out first rescue dog we met them at a pet store event to finalize the process. The rescue volunteers were very busy so I carried the puppy around the store while they got settled. I remarked to the woman how quiet he was she looked over the top of her glasses and smiled. We found out why when we got home. That quiet puppy in the store became a loud, proud barking machine, lol. We had him for 16 years and we would give anything to get 16 more.
OMGosh, I could never make my dog sleep outside – they have all slept wherever they wanted to in the house – had their own beds, but if the couch or a regular bed felt more comfy that’s where they’d sleep – our last dog (before Ella Rose), Annabelle had her own room, we called the guest room Annabelle’s room, we rarely had company, but she would move to our room if someone came to stay

And it serves them right.

My sweet Molly never barked. She would look at me and make one quiet “yip” when she wanted to go out. She’s been gone 5 years and I miss her so much.

That arrogant expression on the precious Buckles in the last panel is just precious : )

Yeah, until Paul and Jill put a muzzle on Buckles to prevent him from barking.
