I’m sure there is enough variety in the dishes that everyone has something to eat.

Used to go to a great popular diner years ago. Great tasting food, but the results were not great. I finally figured out they used MSG in abundance

Wait, if Uncle Mike can’t have nuts, where will Norm and Ralph be?

Buffet is better?

Sounds like a good idea.

The first 3 are reasonably easy to incorporate in dishes, that everyone can eat. So you’d only need to prepare one or two extra vegan dishes.

And I can’t stomach the extended family.

I went to a buffet style Thanksgiving dinner two years ago, and got exactly what I wanted: White turkey meat, mashed potatoes, a glass of milk, and sweet potato pie for dessert.

They NEVER fly the same flag twice. And I agree with Ralph for the first time.

About 8 of us went to Golden Corral for Thanksgiving last year. Nobody was unhappy. Tomorrow there’ll be about 10.

Easy solution, shorten your guest list! Be thankful for normal eaters!

MSG is Glutamic acid, it is an Amino acid, 14% of our body is Glutamic Acid, it gives Tomatoes their flavor profile, and naturally occurs in many foods. No one is allergic to it! Even the Dr. who championed in getting it banned admitted he lied and recanted his story.

Practical.

1. Ralph is right. 2. If she insists on having dinner at her house, make a pot luck. People eat what they take. Oh, and have them make a card listing the ingredients so people know if they should eat it. I used to do that with cookies I took to our little bunco group on holidays. We’re all seniors and other people started doing it, too.

Different cartoonists sell merchandise on this site. I wish we could buy the flags from this strip. They wouldn’t have to be the big ones, just the little garden flags.

I would not cook for people with that restricted of diets. They can bring their own dish or 2 if they need special food.

Let the oddballs bring their own. Done.

I had an ex-girlfriend who was allergic to shell food and Filipino food would have a lot of it, usually shrimp. I would scout the usual culprits before she was allowed to eat. Even buffets would not have gluten free, nut free and vegan – especially vegan, some would have vegetarian entrees but not likely, it’s about costs.

Yeah, go to a buffet, and don’t bother to tell them.

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. : )
