I used to run 5 miles a day, but that was 60 years ago. I was walking 3 miles a day, but quit when my dog died last May. I finally started looking for another dog. The exercise makes a wonderful difference in the way I feel⊠and look. About a year ago I read a book called âLifting weights is a waste of timeâ, which recommended using their system of elastic bands. I bought a cheap set instead, which made no noticeable difference. I had all the usual doubts, but spent the money to buy their system, called âX3â. If you buy that system they will include the book. I have been using it for a 10 minute workout a few days a week. Within 3 months my neighbors were commenting, saying things like, âWow! You really have muscle!â I hadnât even told anybody I was working out. It still surprises me when I look in the mirror and see real definition in my chest and shoulders. It works the rest of me too, but that isnât as noticeable. It isnât unusual any more when women I donât know start a conversation in the grocery store and give me a big smile when I pass them in other places, and Iâll be 80 next March. They never did that before, and I donât know how to respond. I donât normally plug a product, but this system really works. Just look up X3 bar on google, and youâll find it. I still use the cheap set I bought. When Iâm ready to move to a stronger band, the jump is too big with the X3 set, so I just add a weaker band from the cheap set with the X3 band I had been using.
Back in the day I ran 15 -20 miles a day except for Sunday. Now age 78, I got all those joints problems. Arthritis and rheumatism and Spinal Stenosis. 3 surgeries and a spinal Fusion. But hey, I am walking still. Carefully. My Orthopedic doctor says take therapy and exercise.I tell him I do. Walking to Bathroom and Bedroom.
When I was 37.5 years old, I was out of shape. I decided to do something about it. I stopped smoking, started eating sensibly and embarked on a moderate exercise program. I was in no rush and figured that if it took me 37.5 years to get out of shape, Iâd take 37.5 years to get back into shape and reach my physical peak at age 75.
Now that I am 75, I can start boozing it up, partying âtill dawn, have unprotected sex and do all those things Iâve been putting off for the past 37.5 years. I will not go back to smoking, however.
Do things in moderation they say, right now Iâm moderately inebriated, must be the Baileyâs in my coffee lol oops itâs empty, well hereâs to more Baileyâs then;)

Nothing wrong with caffeine unless youâre drinking something like 10 cups a day!

Yes, oxygen deprivation to your brain, from protracted running, can indeed produce a false sense of euphoria.
