This is still relevant today. The major source of air pollution is burning fossil fuels.

The major source of air pollution is Purple People Eater’s farts . Anyone who eats Purple People has highly toxic Purple farts.

The chief cause of air pollution is humans.

One of those occasions where I paused and thought . . What is ‘brimstone’. Thank google, it’s an old world term for sulfur. Somehow associated with the smell of a lightning strike, hence the wrath of God being ‘fire and brimstone’.
