I did that ONCE. Guess they didn’t like my doing the great W.C. Fields line “Go away boy, you bother me!”

I’m thinking it depends on WHERE the “just a little more gray hair” is located on their body

Good friend of mine does this every year. He has a regular gig as Santa (actually looks just like him, tall, large, white beard and jolly) at the local Childrens’ Hospital, floats thru the Fire department and then Police station. When weather permits, he rides around town on our water truck, waving and kids love it! It is definitely the Christmas season when HE shows up : ) Thanks, F, for doing this EVERY year!

No, Santa has WHITE hair, not gray. My husband worked as a mall Santa in the past and we had to bleach his hair, beard, & mustache to get them a true white. fortunately for me, when he played Kris Kringle in a local production of “Miracle on 34th Street”, they paid to have pros bleach him white again.

“Mall Santa”, do they still exist?

    From today’s Comics Curmudgeon:

Hey, pluggers, you guys know that they give the mall Santas a wig and a fake beard, right? It’s pretty obvious when you look at them. Even the little kids can tell, for the most part.

Yes, I once was compared to Santa’s brother, but then I got married and had a reason to be smooth shaven again.

Husband’s hair early on turned grey. It has since changed to the most lovely shade of white. And he is on the plump side.

He would not make a good Santa though. Decades of working as executive director of a school/mental health agency for children was too much for him and he tends to lose his temper with those who annoy me – including many children.
