there should be no apostrophe after Veterans-“Veterans Day does not include an apostrophe but does include an “s” at the end of “veterans” because it is not a day that “belongs” to veterans, it is a day for honoring all veterans.”
I am old enough to remember soldiers being spit upon in airports when returning from Vietnam. I hope that given Trump’s attitude toward our military we are not going to return to those days.

John and I will avoid politics again today. This is solely for the veterans. My Dad was one. I was turned down by both the Army and the Navy. I wasn’t fit enough, but they’d call me up on an ‘only if needed’ basis. I forget the classification, but I used to have a card.

Hackenschmidt raised an eyebrow. “Surely, our good NCO would be hostile to a chap who spends a good portion of his existence skiving and sleeping.”

Even though it was over 50 years ago, I can still remember at least six different Sergeants I had during my 3 years of service in the Army.

This one is all Scott! As a son of an ex-marine I let the ball drop and forget it was veterans day today.

Beetle Bailey has been a private longer than any active General has been alive, having started on October 4, 1950.

I’m guessing Ed took on his current appearance after his service days.
