Winter’s here and there’s no snow in where I live

Today, i’ve learnt a new sound effect… WHANGO!

I have not seen a Robin since 1993, yesterday 100’s flew over my house and today maybe 50 or more were in my backyard. I was BBQing at 5:30 and my local 5 Grackles are nesting by that time. I came out and did my cooking and the Robins didn’t even care. They stayed and enjoyed the things they found in my yard. Hope they come back

Natures version of a buzz saw. Or madam guillotine. I wouldn’t in any way describe that as a snowflake.

Has anyone noticed that homes and buildings with metal roofs often have ice breakers near the eves to prevent huge chunks of ice and snow from sliding off and hurting someone?

We had a light amount of snow on Christmas morning, but it didn’t stay. It has mainly rained where I live. But a mild December always make me fearful of January.
