Back in the late ’60’s, I heard a hippie described as a Tarzan who looked like a Jane and smelled like Cheetah.

This cartoon is a good bit behind the times, isn’t it? (And why copyrighted 2030?)

How original! A joke that goes back to the 60’s.

I wonder what happened to all the hippies with their “love and peace.”

Ain’t that the truth.

The beatniks disappeared and no longer exist. I suppose you are a hippie if you remember them. Gilligan was a beatnik before he became lost on Gilligan’s Island. ;-D

Most of us are still around and still believe. I think there was some guy in the Middle East long ago who preached love and peace. He ended up being nailed to a tree, as I remember. Many other “peacenicks” have been killed, jailed, or otherwise denigrated by people who evidently feel that neither love nor peace belong in today’s excuse for “civilization”.

Our message has endured for thousands of years, but over and over the majority of humans choose guns and greed instead.

That’s how people swing these days.
