I once saw a group of crows picking up a live baby rabbit and dropping it from 15 feet in the air over and over again. They were definitely trying to murder it.
The collective noun for sea otters is a “raft”. I was thinking about this when I saw just two drifting together in the bay. I think only two is called a “nap”. :)

If a whole bunch of geese are called a gaggle. And a whole bunch of crows are called a murder. What do you call a whole bunch of retreating rabbits?
A receding hare line.

If you’ve ever watched them field-strip a pigeon, you know why it’s called a murder.

I can just see a group of crows going for lunch: “There’s a murder at Roz’s place!”
