For those who may not know a Sassenach is an English person. Sassenach is derived from the Scottish Gaelic word sasunnach, literally meaning ‘Saxon’, and originally used by Gaelic speakers to refer to non-Gaelic speaking Scottish Lowlanders or the English.
Go get him, terriers! Er, poor Fred (says the woman who is Irish but with a Scottish last name, and just watch the Scots claim me as their own, even when they know that!). Not being pejorative, it’s just a bit of something over nothing.

They ARE a scrappy lot. Terriers will always let you know what’s on their minds. Good or bad.

I’m surprised that there are no Outlander comments. Claire Fraser is called Sassenach by her husband.
