My neighbor set up six inflatable “Christmas” figures forty feet from my door. They come home in the evening, start up the lights and compressor and then go inside, close their doors and windows and close the venetian blinds. I don’t know who these things are supposed to be entertaining. They are inside a gated area shared with no one but me. Worse, they still think it’s “Christmas” several days later.
“Sprung”? That’s the past perfect. What you want for simple past tense is “sprang”. (I have the same carp about the common misuse of flang, stang, drank, sank, shrank, slang, slank, stank, and swang.)

Check out everything outside (on the outside of your house) – and it may make you feel better on the inside (being inside your house).

Simple answer, really. Do what I do. I don’t make snowmen, hang rain gutter lights or own any inflatable holiday junk.
