    Starting in the 1960’s the New York Daily News had a sports cartoonist, Bill Gallo, and he would refer to the worse team or player of the week as a goat.

    A PLUGGER knows that a "goat’ is short for “scapegoat” and means the person blamed for a loss or a failure! GOAT with that other meaning is for millennials and other whippersnappers!
