Been over for over a month here, but it is not the cold, it is the rain.

Live in Northeast Ohio, growing up, a neighbor grilled year round. Be foot of snow on the ground and 15 degrees he still would grill outdoors.

it’s colder than Loretta’s mother’s ta-tas out there!

It’s never over! I’ve shoveled two feet of snow out of the way to get to the grill.

one essential tool I have is my propane torch for winter charcoal use.

Grilling is never out of season!

I switch to baking in the winter, a pan seared ribeye sounds good come to think of it. I like how Alton Brown does it, I just use Montreal seasoning and follow his instructions.

The grill ain’t lit, and Leroy’s pilot light is out.

As long as you can shovel a path to the barbecue, it’s good.

I have a next-door neighbour who is from Dublin. A few years ago we’d had a snowstorm and the next day I shoveled a path out to the barbecue. I got a bit warm doing it fast, so I threw my jacket back into the house and finished shovelling with just a sweater on. As I was lighting the barbecue, I heard this voice from next door calling out, “That’s the most Canadian thing I’ve ever seen!”

I grill year round, live in the mountains, and it’s healthier and tastes better. When the snow is flying is when it’s most awesome.
