It has been known to happen that destroyed school building are retroactively labeled as enemy ammo depots.

The odds? They mighta been pretty good, actually. My understanding was that pretty much anyplace you could possibly shoot at in Afghanistan had a high likelihood of having at least SOME link to al-Qaeda (which means “the base”).

Best of all when you have a situation like this is that you have them convinced that you have technology which allows you to detect what they hoped was undetectable or that they have spies in their midst who need to be eliminated.
