I’m reminded of an old “MAD” magazine cartoon (I know, there isn’t any other kind) where what was found was actually the top cap to a large pyramid in the background.

I love the name Neferspendi. Is he related to Cheopskate?

He must have been cremated.

He figured that you can take it with you, so why spend it here?

There was a similar cartoon several years ago where the archeologists were saying “He was a modest Pharaoh.”

I think this is the result of a sandstorm:

A guy is riding in the Arizona desert after a sandstorm and he sees… a ten gallon hat, just lying there. He dismounts and walks over to it and picks it up and to his surprise there’s a head underneath. The head says “I got caught in the sandstorm. Do you think you could dig me out?” The other guy grabs a shovel and starts digging carefully. The head says “could you dig faster? I’m sitting on my horse and we’d both like to get free.”

Don’t walk into it, you’ll hurt your Egypt shins.

The curse was also downsized…..

I suspect some sort of scheme.

Or he was only 2 inches tall.
