OH, for those that read my crying over the transmission filter in my car yesterday. I read the manual of my car and it states that “If you change the transmission filter before 7500 miles you MUST change it again at 7500 miles” This is my 2nd C8 but I’ve never put so many miles on my Vettes in such a short time
I had a few jobs where my commute could be up to two hours each way. Winter was the time of year where I would leave my home in the dark and return home in the dark. Sometimes I was SAD.
Takes a lot of Moxie and Spunk to sell a Tea Cozy to the unwilling Mr Brutus. Got one. Old thing. Hand me down from Grandma who never heard of Tea Cozy. She made it (sewed) just to cover Tea Kettle. Burnt hunk of metal set on wood heater to heat up. Set on mantle when not in use.
Of course they are. Just don’t look at the clock every two minutes or they’ll give you more work to do if they think you have the time to keep watching the clock! ☺️☺️☺️
After tomorrow Brutus can get back about a minute a day for a while. It’s really, really dreary and snowy here. Perfect for one of the shortest days of the year. I assume there is a sun up there some place, but it’s not showing at all. The whole sky is a light gray. It’s actually kind of pretty, but below freezing.
At my last job (at the Bureau), my eyes started being inconsistent for night driving. I started coming in a bit later and leaving a bit earlier each day. When co-workers noticed, I’d say there were vampire sightings in my neighborhood and I didn’t want to be out at night.
They just seem longer in the winter. I had a job for two years [before I volunteered in the Army – Vietnam War] where because of the distance [2-3 miles through city streets] I left in the dark and got home in the dark. The summers were opposite – full light when I left for work and didn’t really get dark until 6-7 hours after returning home.
Rancid isn’t physically present but his presence looms over Brutus like the omnipresent gray skies here in Columbus. But it’s so nice being retired. It makes this strip less ouchy!

Well at this time, it’s much cooler. Something a lot of people prefer while working.

Perhaps a large crowd will sacrifice the long work day at Stonehenge today.

About the sun, it travels slower at night cause it can’t see where it’s going.

Sad but true but that is why we have the Christmas Season to bring light, warmth and happiness into an otherwise dreary time of the year…..
