Being a monkey in a barrel never really was particularly fun.

A “barrel full of monkeys.”

I wonder if there was some reason behind that saying. Something in a circus or a movie perhaps?

If it means monkeying around, then I’m all for it.

Are they cheeky monkeys?

What exactly is a “National Monkey”… ㋡

Can you imagine exactly ‘how crazy’ a barrel full of monkeys would be?

Remember that time we went over the falls?

Not my circus, not my monkeys. I have cats and that’s more than enough!

I think it started in the 1950’s. there would be groups trying to set records seeing how many HUMANS they could stuff into small places,such as phone booths or VW Beetles.I guess they were having fun, except for those with claustrophobia. Don’t know if Monkeys suffer from that.

Well I’ll be a monkey’s uncle!

Same old same old is not fun any more…….

Years ago I stuffed 10 people in my 1970 Ford Torino then went to see Raiders of the Lost Ark, it was easy we were a bunch of Asians. No I did not get a ticket lol

(They’ve changed the lyrics to “Slide down my rainbow into my cellar door.” I guess most of today’s children have no clue what a rain barrel is, and have never seen the outside upward opening cellar door that slants just enough that you could slide down.)
