We adopted our little Rosie just recently after the passing of our neighbor.

This is her first Xmas with us.. she caught right on to gift opening — No Problems!

Phew, what a night! Merry Christmas to all now I’m off to bed!

Reminds me of a Far Side cartoon from years ago: Two dogs excitedly watching a can being opened – “Oh boy, it’s dog food again!”

Be like dog. Dog wise.

Our dog gets some of the giblets from the turkey in her dinner bowl on Christmas Eve. She then falls asleep.

Cats don’t do this.

My cats just said “meh” this morning and continued with their usual routine.

Dogs do the same thing for dinner every day. My dog gets some variety in her food, but I know a lot of dogs get the same thing every day and still show the enthusiasm. Maybe they want to be sure we know they appreciate being fed and to keep food coming.

My dog consumes dinner in 43 seconds or less. However, he gets an after dinner snack (it’s always dog appropriate and a token amount), sometimes it’s simply a couple of pieces of raw carrot (he thinks they are snacks). He takes his time with those.

All breeds of dog identify as chow chow.

….as it should be.

My dog is the exception, he’s not food motivated. It’s kind of bizarre.
