It’s like pool, and it’s your break

Well, they’re all going down, so just start anywhere.

My cats were good children, they never broke an ornament. Not after the first year and my squirt gun made an appearance. Toshie liked to nap under the tree though.

I stopped using the glass ornaments on my tree a few years ago. My cats usually were not the ones who broke them, though. They would just knock them off the tree where they safely landed on the carpet, then the ornaments would roll under my rocker/recliner and when I would sit in the chair, it would rock forward. I would hear a crunch and that was the end of another ornament. And sometimes I could almost swear my cats were laughing at me.

I never really used glass ornaments. went for the ones the represented things I liked or meant something to me. My cats never paid any real attention to the tree. It was plastic plastic & the ornaments not really fun.

Still not sure about bringing in my Pinyon Pine and decorating it this year with these 2 new curious cats. Maybe just a string of lights.

My cats don’t bother my tree, possibly because I didn’t put my set of glass ornaments on this year. They are heirloom, very nice blown glass, and I just don’t trust my hooligans.

we had a cat that climbed in the tree. We chased it out a couple of times and things got knocked down. We decided to just leave it in the tree and it turned out it just wanted to sleep in there, never knocked anything down

Yesterday’s comic finally arrived! Yaayy!

No tree for me this year, so no problem.

No tree nor even my infamous decorated Charlie Brown branch this year. The only successful times I’ve had trees were when I attached guide wires to the wall or hung the trees from the ceiling. The 2 younger monsters (Sunny and Dudley, only 2 1/2) would make short work of them. Oliver and Tyler would, somehow, participate in the destruction even though they are 14. I’m satisfied with silver lights strung over the fireplace and candles, all on timers, in front windows of 3 floors.

Does this happen to you? I comment occasionally on other comics, what I think are pithy and erudite things. I went back this morning and looked, thinking: What in the….why did I write something that dumb and incomprehensible?

Yah. Anything below 2 meters is not decorated on the main tree. For about the 12th straight year.

None of my cats ever touched the tree, and that includes the late, great Bucky, who came to us two days before Christmas. His eyes lit up when he first saw the tree, but he never touched it.

katzi428 sent me her cat with the birds shot and I struggled and struggled to get it here and now, hopefully, it should go.

Cats and Christmas tree ornaments don’t mix. Unless you use stainless steel ornaments, of course. On anothernote, saw two golden crowned kinglets, two vireos, four chickadees, and four juncos while out walking today.
