A friend of mine attended the Beatles concert at the fairgrounds coliseum back in the 60’s. If I remember rightly, she said that the tickets were about $3 or $5. I also remember that movie tickets were 25 to 50 cents back then.

A few years back we were checking out a James Taylor/Bonnie Raitt concert, until seeing $300-$500 per ticket. Love those “service fees and the ability to allow reselling the tickets but only through ticket-master etc.

That’s why we don’t go to concerts.

I guess I can’t go to concerts anymore because you have to have the ticket on your cell phone. Doesn’t work on a landline and I can’t carry my laptop in.

I look at a sight for the NFL schedule. In addition to showing who’s playing whom at what time and what channel (hopefully not a streaming service) they also show the betting odds and ticket prices.

You can get Super Bowl tickets for as LOW AS $4,500. Super Bowl I tickets went for $12 and did not sell out. That is the equivalent of 11.6% ticket price increase per year for EACH of the 56 years.

My wife and I wait about a year and then watch the movie on TV. It costs a fraction of the box office price to rent and one ticket covers the both of us, it plays whenever we feel like watching it, we don’t have to drive and park, if anyone’s cell phone goes off, it’s ours, every seat is a good seat, we can stop for potty breaks and we can watch it in our sweats while sitting on the couch drinking wine.

1969 Merriweather Post Pavilion $3.50 to see Led Zeppelin and the Who. The Who played songs from Tommy which hadn’t been released and Led Zeppelin first album had been released. Great show!!!

We complained about the ticket prices in those days, too.

Concert tickets for older groups are WAY too expensive. Trying to get Santana tickets near me and cost a lot! I remember The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Moody Blues, Diana Ross……$5-$20 back in the day.

I think Bruce Springsteen tickets are the most expensive.

Avoid eye contact, and maybe she’ll turn back around and stop talking to you.

I try to stay away from crowded theaters, stadiums, and airports. Unfortunately it makes flying stressful.
