My older brother (by 4 years) was not happy with me tagging along once I passed 10. When I was 13 or 14 I received a weightlifting outfit for my birthday and worked tirelessly to upgrade my physique. One day he decided to rough me up in the living room. It was a short tussle: I threw him to the ground and pinned his shoulders to the floor … he couldn’t move. “Well,” he said. “I just wanted to make a man of you. It looks like it worked.” Total BS.
