Yesterday on the subject of Stahler’s other comic on which comments have been banned to avoid contentious arguments, I wrote the following to gocomics, com.
“I believe it is time to remove the ‘cuffs’ from Jeff Stahler’s comic and allow him to receive the interest and respect of his followers. Preventing comments on his site to avoid controversy was ok up to a point, but it is time now to recognize that need no longer exists. The election is over.
Some of his recent arcs have been political but many have simply depicted humorous average situations. In addition, many very strong comments have appeared in the dozen or so other comic arcs to which I subscribe. They will continue, so why stifle reader ability to comment solely on his work? "
Question is, will I receive an answer?
Fair’s fair. You publish a guy’s comic with the ‘add a comment’ facility, you should not just decide to deny those comments because they are controversial. So long as they do not include threats of violence or overthrow of established institutions, they are just that, comments, words on paper, and readers should be allowed to respond on ignore them as they choose.
We got 10 inches of snow yesterday, then paid a guy with a snow cat to plow our driveway and walk. Then we got 3 more inches last night. I will clear that little bit myself.
Shoveled? Our snow was so light and fluffy that I didn’t bother with the snow blower. I got out the leaf blower and blew the snow off that way. So much quicker and the leaf blower is so much lighter to wield. Got down to 0 F last night and was a balmy 8 F when I left for work this morning at the hospital.

This is wrong, it is the snowplow drivers job to make sure your freshly cleared driveway and sidewalk get a fresh coat of snow.

Trying to beat the snowplow is futile, just fall where you will.
