I wasn’t expecting an ode to The Turtles. Lovely tie-in. Whatever happened “after” was worth it.

The Turtles were the headliners at my first rock concert (1965?). Spencer Davis Group opened. A great evening.

I’m sensing there’s a pun in there somewhere…

So they DO have turtles! Why aren’t they sharing them with the public?

It that Turtle Howard or Mark?

Oh please; if there’s gonna be a song playing to express how happy one would be to see a turtle, it of course should be “Skipping Stones” by Splinter from the TMNT concert!

At least that turtle still has its neck.

Seeing sea turtles while snorkeling or better yet diving is way more cool, dramatic and beautiful. I have been lucky enough to encounter both Green and leather backs diving in the Caribbean.

I think they should play “Eleanor” instead.

The Turtles put out a Greatest Hits called SAVE THE TURTLES where money from the CD went to preserving Sea Turtles, so this cartoon resonates nicely with Mark and Howard.

This is so sweet.

That was Charlotte’s moment of identity. No matter what happens, she and that turtle are sharing a karmic bond.

There is a character in today’s Phoebe and Her Unicorn who seems to forget the lyrics to a song so they don’t have to break copyright laws.
