Sam: “Now to compare the menu from this new place with Popski’s. Hard to beat the classic, but I do have this coupon for 50 cents off pastrami. What to do, what to do.”
Good morning™, Gloating Sinister Clock Saboteurs !
“I’ll keep the tower locked and secured” …. with ME inside where I can do my dirty work undisturbed. Those must be some interesting papers Sam is looking at. Sam is ready for a clown convention photo op.
Has Eric forgotten that the murder is the only crime the police have to investigate? The focus on the tower makes no sense in terms of the murder investigation – unless they thought there was evidence there in regard to Springy’s death. But why search the tower? The evidence against Jr. is all circumstantial, but might be enough for a judge to issue a search warrant. Why the tower? Why not his office? Why not his home? Why not every other building project Totten is involved with? Why call in the state troopers instead of just sending in the regular detectives as they perform their 57 search warrants? (Just my top five questions of the day.)
While I don’t agree with a lot of Aristotle he did say that drama required a logical progression from one point to another. Were Aristotle alive today he’d give this a failing score. (Were Aristotle alive today he’d have Methuselah beat all to heck.)
1- FRED JR: Did you find Springsprong’s killer in there? STATE COP NERD: Nope. Just some step by step plans on how to kill him. We’ll turn those over to the MCU for review.
2- FRED JR: I’m sure they were elaborately – nay – brilliantly detailed. Heh heh…ha ha…HAR HAR WHOOP WHOOP!
3- SAM: Ugh. So boring! I’ll skip to the end like I always did in literature class…hmmm. Signed by Fred Totten Jr. Now that’s oh! There’s the lunch bell! I’ll get back to this later – if I don’t forget…
SATURDAY MORNING SURPRISE OT: Had to pull the permission from an OTHERWORLD graphic novel I’d been approached on. I received files of ten pages of hideously bad artwork. Sketchy pencils, sloppy inks, and unattractive character designs I didn’t write Midori as a goth chick, nor Shinichi as a hyper-muscular Nordic god with waist-length hair. They’re just everyday people with distinct flaws who are attempting to adapt to an impossible situation. Even in other genres (especially my P.I, work, all my main characters have some inner flaw. I can’t stand omnipotent characters. They just get boring,
(sigh) Could have used the money, but not that badly.
Is it just me, or do others feel this story is just c r e e e e e e e p i n g along at a snail’s pace? I’m having to go back and re-read some of the earlier panels from weeks ago to remind myself exactly what’s going on. At least it’s interesting enough to keep me interested…

Yeah, it’s always good to have the suspect there while you’re looking for evidence against them isn’t it?
