Lots of people feel the same way. Networks don’t have patience.

He has terrible taste and loves garbage, he should be a ratings bonanza.

He doesn’t realize how lucky he is. Some of the sampling I’ve done in recent years gives me the shivers at how poorly cast and filmed they are. That’s not especially new except for the numbers of them that manage to retain an audience. But then I began watching in the mid 20th century and have had plenty of examples to compare truly fine work vs schlock.

Landman. Killer show. I hope there are several seasons.

Boy, this is me. What I find interesting apparently most of America doesn’t!

Does anyone else remember that sitcom about an orangutan that was in congress? It was great, but cancelled mid-season, and completely disappeared.

Every time I like something from Trader Joe’s they drop it. One exception: Maple Clusters.

Probably, Flora just stops recording it… so she can watch her soaps…!

Hubby is in mourning that Blue Bloods was cancelled. Being the nice wife, I bought him all 14 seasons on DVD.

I thought “So Help Me Todd” was fun. They cancelled it after two seasons, and ended on a cliffhanger…

We’re still waiting for Season Two of “Poker Face,” but at least I know they’re now filming it.

Most new stuff doesn’t pass my smell test and the stuff that is 4-5 seasons old they have gone overboard on storylines.

I, among others, seem to be a bell weather for shows to be canceled

Right now I am thinking of Sports Night, Mr. Sunshine, Better Off Ted, among others. And yet they let other shows keep going till they jump the shark.

These days I do not even begin a show until it is done. Just finished Orange Is The New Black 10 years behind everyone else but I never had to wait for new episodes and it was so old, no one was giving spoilers at work. :-)

One of the funniest shows I remember was “Police Squad!,” which was cancelled after 6 episodes. The network executives complained that you actually had to pay attention to catch the jokes.

Of course, those ended up giving us the “Naked Gun” movies, but the show was much better.

(They’re rebooting the “Naked Gun” franchise, with Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin. Seth MacFarlane is behind the project, which might swing fans either way.)

I know what you mean Gunther, and the list gets longer every year.

I hate it when a show I like gets canceled, especially if it happens mid season
