If the usual ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Everything old is new again.

Brutus is shaking things up…very gently.

Some things are better left unchanged!!!!

The main thing is to maintain.

The shake up couldn’t have been that great.

The usual, but shaken, not stirred!

I’m shaking things up, too. By posting my usual comment on GoComics.

I went to the same Chinese Restaurant every Tuesday for 10 years at lunch, I would walk in say hello to the owner and she would know my order. Every Friday was Pizza for lunch. Brutus knows if you like something stick with it!

Brutus ended 2024 in a rut and started 2025 in same rut. Sadly he’s not a DEER.

Plus ça change…. Shaking things up has its limits when it comes to Brutus’s food intake. In light of what he gets at home if he’s found something safe at the diner he’s not taking chances. Don’t tempt fate – especially if you’re a Born Loser!

I once went to a restaurant I’d never been to before. Just for fun, I asked for “the usual” to see what sort of reaction I’d get. I soon found out they had a sandwich called “The Usual” and I had to eat it.

Brutus has the opportunity to change things. He doesn’t have to take it. He likes his routines.

He’s just being selective about what he shakes up.

Sedaka sez, “Shaking up is so very hard to do”.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

If you’re going to shake things up, it’s good to do it on a stable foundation.

My wife was a regular at a donut shop and ordered her coffee via their app. When they saw her get out of her car they’d make her coffee and she’d be greeted by name and with a smile and her coffee ready, no matter how busy they were. Rather nice. On Saturdays when I was with her they’d have my order ready but I was just Bridget’s husband.

And to drink?

Sometimes, going with what you know is best.

I like the usual myself, no surprises. On second thought, hold the coffee, that will shake up my body into thinking it’s Armageddon.
