Coming Soon š At the beginning of April, youāll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
From the comments, it looks like some readers are seeing Abigail Blackās story and others are seeing Go Bag Go, which I posted the day after the Sunset fire threatened Hollywood. Iāll repost both next week so if you see something twice itās just me covering bases.
Buddy and I are safe in another city ā the air in LA is a toxic soup of heavy metals and chemicals, and the fear and grief is overwhelming. Thank you all for your good wishes.
Friends in the Palisades got out safely and their houses are fine for now, but friends of friends lost homes and everything in them. If you can donate a few dollars to ā¦ thereās a list of vetted organizations on CNBC I canāt link to here, but a search for āLos Angeles fire relief donationā might help you find a suitable charity. Thank you.
So glad you Carol, Buddy, and your abode are safe. A wildfire came through the area here in north central Washington state in 2014 and destroyed my dwelling. The place was rebuilt the next year, and i reside in my dream home now (i am grateful). So, iāve experienced the intensity and challenges when such things happen. I do hope that all those affected by the current situation can find stability within themselves to heal the trauma. Iāve enjoyed your creative expression for at least the past decade. Thank you so much. Everything is a process. The universe is in a continual moment of creation. -Buddy Thomas
On a past moving day, or cat decided to retreat behind the wall access of our washing machineā¦ā¦ā¦..first coaxing with treats and sweet talk followed by the eventual wall thumping urging him down his 15ft worm hole into his waiting cat carrier. He purred all the way to his new home ā¦ā¦. with a lot more to explore.
I didnāt see this one last week, Carol, but saw the Black widow. Iāve been wondering how you and Buddy are doing. Glad you didnāt have to leave. PLEASE be prepared for the inevitable next time! Stay safe!
I lost my cat, my wife, then our house in the Colorado Marshall Fire back in 2021, all within a few months. I saved our 2 Huskies, and now Iām back in our new home. What a time of trouble we went through.Everything is good, now. I believe everything will work well for you also.

Ghost: A spider bite? Is that what that penny-dreadful told you?
Ms. Black: It was as good an authority as I could find on the subject.
Ghost: Well its wrongā¦ā¦I died of consumption.
Ms. Black: Why would they say it was a spider?
Ghost: Cause consumption is an awful, boring way to go and everybody was doing it back then. At least ādeath by spiderā has color to it.
Ms. Black: Wish I had known that soonerā¦
Ghost 2 (more recent): Yeahā¦.a LOT sooner
