My neighbor still has wreathes up and now has strings of hearts up too for Valentine’s Day. Can’t wait to see what happens for July 4th. Also several houses have year round halloween decorations.
How about late January. Mine came down last weekend. I always wait ’til I have bright clear sunny day. I refuse to perform that task in the rain or ice.
Drove by a house the other night fully lit up as if it were Xmas eve, but not only with lights around the eaves (which I see still lit here and there), there were snowmen and a Santa, Etc., lit up on the lawn. Kinda wondering if they are hanging on desperately to the spirit of last year.
Yup. Exterior lights and stuff all down, checked for damage, repaired and put away. Interior stuff will have all Xmas specific checked for damage, repaired if needed and packed away before the Superb Owl. Winter stuff stays out until winter is over. When we lived in California that would be around mid-March. Here in BC that’s about mid April – early May.

We leave the lights on the carport until february as well. Same as most of our neighbors though, we kinda like the extra light in these dark months.

Definitely a thought I would “thumbs down” if that response were enabled on gocomics.

Didn’t you buy your gift wrap for the next year on December 26th, June?

I dunno why, but the snowman makes it more “Drabble” – like the house flags.

If every day was Christmas, Christmas would just be an ordinary day.

I figured the only reason he would take them down was to find the burnt out bulb.

My neighbors took all of theirs down except the icicle lights hanging around their house and garage.

With Michican weather, I can see why some people leave lights up until March…

Even though I don’t celebrate holidays, I do find the light to be cheerful and have no problem with them being up all year …

Feel free to climb up there and take them down. You are home all day thanks to him…
