What a mess of an arc. Never any real direction, not one joke hit, I can barely remember what happened in it. Even worse, Peter was just… There. You’d think he’d provide his usual lines, even an eye roll. Instead, he asked to go home once and that’s it. Peirce had no ideas for this and it shows. 0\10, easily the worst arc of the year.

If you look at the doodles on blue paper at the bottom of the panels, there’s a figure in a baseball cap with “Grady” written above him. Does anyone know who this might be?

Mr. Peirce, you gotta give us something better than this. This got old in two days and it stretched to a week. Whatever happened to one-offs?

Someone mentioned this yesterday, but I’d love to see some of the characters we haven’t seen in a while return.

Ellen pretty much appears whenever it’s called for. I wish the strip would have arcs focusing on her like they used to.

Artur and Jenny are pretty much irrelevant to the strip now that Nate moved on from his unhealthy obsession with their relationship. But… that doesn’t mean they can’t appear still. Also, Marty’s role in the strip has been waning in recent years, in my opinion. Since it feels like the strip is more centered around characters around Nate’s age, rather than him having to deal with the adults in his life.

Comment what other characters you’d like to see more of.

Pretty sure that that mall (and all other malls) has at least one public restroom separate from the stores. The exception might be if there’s a full-size restaurant (a la Buffalo Wild Wings, for example, serving as one of the malls “anchors”.

Restrooms are for employees only. The food court at the other end has restrooms for the public, but you have to present a receipt showing that you made a qualifying purchase in the food court before they give you the code to unlock the door,

I for one enjoy this arc (don’t think it’s quite over yet) and the laughing arc. Trust me when I state that a laughing jag beats a crying spell anytime!
