The term for that is faulty conclusion. Garbage in, garbage out (which refers to ocmputer data) does not mean good stuff in, good stuff out. So, another kid making a bad assumption.

Good stuff in, good stuff out. Every fine restaurant tells you that’s not true.

Kid has the right idea. Depending on which one chooses, garbage or good stuff, the outcome will match. The problem being that many don’t clearly recognize which is which.

It’s rare that Caulfield is mentioned in conversation with another child. I can’t really imagine his classmates are fond of him.

FWIW, what the kid was searching for was what termed “Gold In Gold Out” back in the day. GIGO was preserved.

Say, have we ever seen a bully at this school? If not, we should give the administrators more credit.

I read one of those “Ten Words that Prove It’s AI” quizzes, and seven of the words are ones that I use in daily conversation. Do robots really sound like ME?

Tangled up in Caulfields grammar, or in Caulfields handwriting? I imagine Caulfield to use cursive.

As I have always said: Good data in doesn’t necessarily mean good data out, but Garbage in ALWAYS equals Garbage out.
