Even if they gave us the short version, I still don’t have enough patience for it.

The un-cut version on DVD is only about 85 minutes.

I watched Once Upon a Time in America tonight…at least 3 hours long but I thought it was a great movie. Wish I recorded it

You can thank commercials for the long run time, unless, of course, the movie is on TCM.

Just start watching and if you pass out so be it. Can’t begin to say how many movie endings, extra innings, hockey overtimes, etc I’ve missed. That’s what recliners are for Brutus.

My wife and I are in our upper sixties, and s movie’s length is certainly one factor at night.

I do the same. I check the length of a program or movie and if it goes past my beddy bye then I’ll save it for another day.

Good enough reason to save it for another day. I hit TCM at times with the wife and a lot of good older movies with great actors are available. We watched one last night starring Barbara Stanwyck that lasted 69 minutes that was really pretty good. Save the 3 hour one to watch when you won’t fall asleep……

I’m sure it’s only 6pm now. Can’t keep Brutus up too late so he can get his beauty sleep

One nice thing about streaming movies is that I can watch a movie over several days.

Watch B movies from the 1930’s and 1940’s. They usually run 60 to 80 minutes.

There were some great ones: Cat People, Detour, Flight from Glory, Night Nurse…

You’re not the only one in the room, maybe Gladys wants to watch it and you can go to bed.

My husband doesn’t want to watch long movies, either. But, he’ll binge watch 3 episodes of a good hour long series!

If any movie I want to watch is longer than 2 hours I wait until I can rent it so I can enjoy it and pause it when I need to. Old Man here, know what I mean?

i used to be determined to watch an entire movie in one sitting. then i switched to trying to stay awake through the whole film. that morphed into trying to at least stay awake for part of the movie. now i’m happy if i can remain awake reading the synopsis… ☺
