Did Phoebe’s family have a dog who “went to live on a nice farm”, so to speak?

I’m sure the pixies will be fine. Can’t say the same about the farm though.

Marigold doesn’t know human connotation of sending a living thing to the farm.

The farm wasn’t ominous until the pixies arrived.

I can’t imagine Marigold doing something as dark as what Phoebe is thinking… and that the phrase leads most of us to think. I had a dog that we got to replace one we inherited from my dad’s folks. Unfortunately the new dog was nowhere near as smart or lovable as the first. The only thing the two had in common was their breed. The new one “went to a farm” but I don’t know, after all these years, what that truly meant as my dad actually knew many farmers. I never thought to ask until just now, and unfortunately it’s too late; dad – and mom – have been gone for years.

Why not a forest?

Clearly, Marigold isn’t aware of the human stereotype around that sort of tale.

Why do I have this vision of a sparkly bag in the river.

I thought the Enchantment of Making Pixies Shut Up and Go Away was going to be Marigold shouting at them, “PIXIES! SHUT UP AND GO AWAY!”

With the negating prefix ‘an-’, that means an anominous farm.

Marigold should have transported the whole kit ‘n’ caboodle to some Klingon’s engine room, where they’d be no tribble at all.

But who paid off the mortgage on the farm?

Who bought the farm?

I remember, when I was 3, my Grandpa’s rabbits “sent back to play with their Mummy”… Unfortunately I never had the time to give them the peelings from the carrots Granny used in her nice stews before they left.
